Elon Musk Backs Telegramโ€™s Pavel Durov for Upholding Free Speech

Elon Musk shares the previous interview of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov where he reveals how the US government tries to threaten the application to spy on it. The CEO of Telegram enjoys the support of Elon Musk who has even defended him as somebody who does not cave to government censorship.ย

Sophisticated observers also reassured that other similar platforms such as Elon Muskโ€™s X and Rumble also run the risk of being targeted by the government in the future. Even Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski also raised alarm about the same.

After the founder and CEO of Telegram Pavel Durov was detained in France on Saturday, Elon Musk supported Durov for maintaining the freedom of speech and did not surrender to the governmentโ€™s pressure on censorship. Of course, free speech remains one Muskโ€™s major priorities and it is what he has been advocating for quite some time now; which is why this acquisition happened back in October 2022.
